Easter and Holy Week Schedule

7:00pm- Maundy Thursday Worship w/ Holy Communion- This worship service centers around Jesus's Last Supper, when he washed the disciples' feet and instituted what we now call Holy Communion.  In this service we'll sing hymns, accompanied by piano, violin, and cello, and experience Jesus's last days of life on earth.  The service ends with the stripping of the altar and we leave in silence, reflecting the somber mood of story.

Friday, March 25
12:00 noon- "Way of the Cross" Good Friday Worship- Similar to what is often called "Stations of the Cross," this worship service takes us through the story of Jesus's crucifixion.  There are a series of readings, broken up with both preformed and congregationally sung music.
7:00pm- Good Friday Tenebrae Worship The choirs of Zion Lutheran and Faith United Methodist Churches join up to bring you this beautiful Tenebrae service.  It will be a combination of preformed and congregationally sung music, all led by the choirs and a six piece orchestra.

Easter Sunday, March 27

Holy Humor Sunday*, April 3

*Holy Humor Sunday is an old Christian tradition; a worship service full of jokes and humor.  Basking in the joy of Easter we laugh, even in the face of death, because in the Easter story we know that death is defeated through Christ's resurrection.
