Adult Education - Poetry and Faith

 Do you like to read poems? Do you write poetry?  Does poetry intimidate or puzzle you?  What are your favorite hymns and scripture passages?
 
 Come to Zion’s first fall Adult Education series!

What:  A 6-part series on Poetry and Faith
When: Sept. 7-Oct. 26—Sunday at 9:40 a.m. & Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Meeting room next to church office
Please bring: Your favorite scriptures, hymns, or poems to share each week!
Led by: Kathy Solberg, retired MSU English teacher
Each session will be held twice if you miss a class.  Sessions will be as follows:
*Sun., Sept. 7 & Wed., Sept. 10 - Poetry 1: What poets do and why; scriptures and hymns
*Sun., Sept. 14/Wed., Sept. 17 - Poetry 2: Voices of conviction: Milton, Donne, Bradstreet

*Wed., Sept. 24 & Sun., Sept. 28—Poetry 3: Unique visions: Rossetti, Hopkins, Cummings
